Lawal Babafemi a Nigerian man who was accused of training with members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and using his English skills to help publish the terrorist magazine “Inspire" was arraigned on Friday, 27th September by a US Federal court.

The judge ordered that Babafemi, also known as Ayatollah Mustafa be held without bail and no plea was entered on his behalf NBC new york reports.

Prosecutors said Babafemi is married with children in Nigeria and helped al-Qaeda attempt to recruit people who speak English to engage in acts of terror against Americans.

The FBI said Anwar al-Awlaki, the American cleric who became the al-Qeada commander in the Arabian Peninsula and was killed in a US drone strike, personally directed $9,000 be paid to Babafemi to assist in his recruitment efforts.

Sitting silently at a defense table, Babafemi wore a blue and white striped polo shirt as he listened to the hearing without the help of a translator.

His attorney did not object to his being held without bail, but told the judge Babafemi suffers from high blood pressure and asked that he receive medication when he gets to the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Investigators said Babafemi was active with al-Qaeda operatives from 2010 to 2011 until he was arrested for crimes in Nigeria. He was then turned over to FBI agents to be prosecuted for his alleged terrorist activity.

My Father Strips Me Naked at Night and Rapes Me...

It was all emotions recently at the Bar Beach Police Division in Lagos when a teenage girl revealed how her 57-year-old father, Mr Nwafor Ikoro, had been forcefully having intercourse with her for the past three months, while giving her N200 as pocket money to school.

Unsure of who to confide in, she said she told her mother during one of her visits only for the father to dismiss the claim, stating that he could not bring himself that low as to having cárnal knowledge of his own biological daughter.

The girl later summoned courage and told her head teacher about her ordeal and the head teacher contacted the police, leading to Mr Nwafor Ikoro’s arrest.

The teenage girl, who was made to start her education from primary five when her mother brought her back to her father after some years of separation, disclosed more during interrogation.

She said: “When I was reunited with my father, I was happy because I was living with an aunt in the village since my parents separated. He usually told me that I would take the place of my mother in his life since my mother had divorced him. I did not know what he meant until he started having carnal knowledge of me at night.

“At a point, I got tired and insulted him. Then, he started beating me and changed his loving nature. He would beat me and strip me naked and have his way whenever he wanted.
“When I attempted to scream, he would hit me harder and cover my mouth. He later apologised, telling me he would buy me a car. All I want at the moment is for my father to be punished for what he did to me.”

But in defence, her dad, Mr Nwafor Ikoro, described his daughter’s claim as mere allegation. He said he only beat her after he discovered she was in relationship with an unnamed man.

Mr Ikoro has been charged to the Igbosere Magistrate Court and will be remanded in prison custody until his application bail would be considered.

Nigerian-Born Accountant Tolu Kalejaiye Found Dead In Her UK Home, 21-Year-Old Son Gets Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder...

A son was today arrested on suspicion of murder after his mother was found dead in their home.
Police were called to a large £350,000 four-bedroom property in Wickford, Essex, at about 10am where they discovered the body of a woman named locally as 46-year-old accountant Tolu Kalejaiye.

Her son, who is aged 21, was arrested shortly after and remained in custody tonight. Neighbours said they had been told the mother was stabbed to death, but it was not confirmed how she died.

More than 10 of Mrs Kalejaiye’s friends and family stood in tears this afternoon outside the family home, which remained cordoned off whilst a team of forensic officers worked inside the property.

Michael Day, 57, her neighbour on the quiet road, said: ‘I left my house at just gone 9.30am and when I came back 10 minutes later, there was all this commotion.

‘People were running around on the grass outside on their phones and it was all very chaotic. Police cars were quickly on the scene and then the police helicopter was overhead.’

Mr Day described Mrs Kalejaiye as ‘pleasant’, saying that he would only usually see her on Sunday mornings when she went to church. ‘She would wave when she saw me,’ he added.

According to her Facebook profile, Mrs Kalejaiye is engaged, studied accounting and finance at Middlesex University in Hendon, north London, and is originally from Abeokuta in Nigeria.

She had also been involved in a successful campaign with other neighbours to establish village green status for the small area of grass at the front of her home.

An Essex Police spokesman said: ‘Detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Wickford. Officers were called shortly after 10am today after neighbours reported concerns for a resident at a house in Wethersfield Way.

‘Officers attended and found the body of a woman in her 40s. The death is being treated as suspicious.
‘A cordon is in place around the property. A 21-year-old man has been arrested.

Honey B Talks about Her Music and Relationship with Father, Kwam 1...

Kwam 1's daughter and UK based singer, Honey Zainab Marshal also known as Honey B in an interview granted to Punch newspaper, talked about her music, relationship with her father and other issues. Here is the full interview:

What was growing up like for you?

Growing up in London was very nice. I lived with my mother who worked hard to provide everything I needed. She gave me unconditional love, support, and constant encouragement. My real name is Honey Zainab Marshal. I attended Vauxhall Primary School and then Charles Edward Brooke School in Lambeth. I later attended The BRIT School of Performing Arts in Croydon where I studied Music.

 How did you discover your musical talent?

My mum said I used to hum along to songs on the radio well before I could speak, but my talent for singing was discovered in primary school. I sang at a show in aid of keeping the school open and remember all the excitement my performance got. I later received an Award Certificate signed by the local MP and our school stayed open. From then, I was encouraged to carry on.

 Your costume during the Notting Hill Carnival caused some buzz. Who designed it for you and what reviews did you get from that?

I designed my outfit at the Notting Hill carnival as a last minute option because as there was a malfunction with the original outfit planned for the day. I had great reviews on the costume based on the fact that it was very appropriate for the occasion and the heat it added to my performance. Watch out for my clothing line soon, we are about to close the deal.

  How was the experience and acceptance level of your performance?

The experience at the carnival was great being my first time performing at the Nigerian corner. As for my performance, I felt it was well received. The majority of the audience seemed mesmerised.

 How would you describe your kind of music?

My music is RnB/Afropop and I describe it as ‘real music’, I write from experience and everyday happenings. I am mastering my song writing skill day in day out, so as to push my boundary as an artiste.

 You did collaboration with your father, KWAM 1. What was the experience like?

It was an amazing learning experience for me. Not only did I get the chance to remix a very well known song, but also the chance to be in the studio with a legend and learn first hand how hits are made.

  Whose idea was the collaboration?

The idea was actually an assignment to see how well I could cross from RnB to Afrobeat. So K1 said I could have a look at his collections and Sempe caught my eye as a challenge. I decided to take a playful song and turn it a bit more serious, relating to all generations. K1 heard it, loved it and there we had 21st Century Fuji.

 Has being KWAM1’s daughter influenced your career in any way?

Being the daughter of a legendary musician adds a lot more pressure and greater expectations. But I try not to focus on the negatives but work harder so I can continue the legacy by building a great name for myself. I treat all obstacles as tools to make me better equipped for the future. People and colleagues in the industry think I have it easy because my dad is K1.  Neither of these groups have any idea. I certainly work for everything I do or get and it is not easy being a female artiste in a male-dominated industry. I decided to shoot and release the video to my song, Updown, to introduce myself as a solo artiste with my own right and not a lady trying to shine off my dad’s fame.

 One would have thought your genre of music would be something like your father’s. Why did you choose to be different?

My style of music developed based on my surrounding; I grew up in England in the era of RnB and soul music. I was educated in a performing arts school, where eclectic music styles were mandatory. After learning those styles of music, I now chose to incorporate RnB with music from my origin, resulting in RnB/afropop. Cultural infusion is magical.

 Was it difficult convincing your dad that you wanted music as a career?

 Well, it was more difficult convincing my mum, but both parents agreed to support after I got my Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology.

 Do you have any other business, apart from music?

I have my hands in fashion and female empowerment projects, but currently music is my main focus.

Are you planning to return to Nigeria?

 Yes. Returning is in my plan for the future. As for now, I only come in and out of Nigeria when I have shows and business engagements.

 How do you intend to fight competition?

 I’m constantly working hard and giving a hundred per cent attention to all I do. My main focus is to concentrate on my craft and ways of progressing. God is involved.

 Do you think you can cope in Nigeria, given its peculiar nature?

Well that’s some of the unique things about Nigeria. You have got to have thick skin and think fast on your feet to survive. I have a great team I am working with and I am doing it with an open mind.

Do you think you can achieve the feat your father accomplished?

By the grace of the Almighty, with hard work, I will, plus more.

 How close are you to your dad?

Dad tours round the world every time. He is a very hardworking man. Always on the move, but we are very close. Thanks to technology, we communicate.

 How acceptable is your music in London?

My music has been well accepted; much more than I expected. It is amazing how it has travelled through the older generation to the younger and even non-Africans. We have been on the road since July around UK performing from Afrobeat shows to fashion shows in Mayfair. I thank God.

Angry Arik Air Passengers Hijack Aircraft, Block Runway...

Angry passengers yesterday evening blocked the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, preventing planes from taking-off or landing.

The blockade was caused by passengers who disembarked from an Arik Air flight that was meant to take them to the Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar from Abuja but  was denied landing at the Calabar airport at about 5.30pm by the station manager due to safety concerns.

According to reports, the flight had the Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, on board and despite pleas by the aides to the governor to allow the landing of the aircraft, the station manager refused, citing the fact that the runway lightening was poor thus, the pilot was left with no other choice than to return the passengers to the Abuja airport.

A passenger in one of the stranded airplanes said he and other travellers had to disembark and sat on the tarmac for more than one hour after the pilot announced that the plane could not take off because the runway had been blocked.

The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Yakubu Dati, who confirmed that the Arik passengers blocked the runway, blamed the airline for the incident.

He added that the passengers had insisted that Arik must compensate them for breach of contract, especially since the flight was delayed.

The spokesperson of Arik Air, Mr. Adebanji Ola, said that it was not the fault of the airline that the Calabar airport was closed by the time the flight from Abuja got there.

He said, “The flight was delayed because there was Very Important Personality movement and there was also some weather issues, it is not the fault of the airline that the plane could not land there.

“We are amazed that despite the security at the Abuja airport, passengers were still able to hijack the aircraft and hold other planes to ransom, that should not be the case.”

Fashola Apologizes to Igbo Community, Says He was Misunderstood...

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola yesterday 26th of September tendered an unreserved apology to the Ndigbo community segment that misunderstood him, whom he referred to as his ‘kindred’ in a recent action of his administration, even as he insisted that there was a need to discuss factors that could be responsible for under-development in the South East.

Governor Fashola spoke at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island venue of a symposium to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Igbo socio-cultural group, Aka Ikenga.

He said "although majority of Ndigbo in Lagos understood and appreciated the action of the state government, it was obvious that some Igbos did not understand  it"

Fashola who referred to Ndigbo everywhere as “My kindred” said, “There are people who clearly do not understand me and they have misunderstood words said or misrepresented actions taken in the way that it has pleased them to do so. To those people, I owe an explanation in defense of what has happened and that is partly why I am here as well”.

Noting that the Igbo and the Yoruba have built a relationship based on tolerance, based on mutual respect, based on trust and love”, he declared, “That relationship was started by our ancestors. It was handed over to us and we have nourished it with a lot of trust and a lot of understanding and a lot of fidelity”.

“Those who misunderstand that relationship, who think that there is no value in that relationship, I have come here to correct that. I put a lot of value in that relationship. And so if those people have misunderstood me or they have misunderstood actions taken by our Government, here, now, today I offer an unqualified and unreserved apology”, he said.

The Governor, however, said even the apology does not take away the real issue that provoked the misunderstanding pointing out that the real issue lay in the reason or reasons why some sections feel compelled to migrate from one part of the country to the other.

Urging Aka Ikenga to rise up to the challenge of underdevelopment in the Southeast, Governor Fashola declared, “There are questions that caused the misunderstanding and it is those questions the Aka Ikenga must address if it must continue to fulfil its purpose”.

He recalled the remarks of the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Gary Nnachi, who made a distinction between the Igbo in Lagos and those at home, adding, “As he began to distinguish between the Igbo in Lagos and the Igbo at home I knew there was a real issue; that those at home don’t look like those of you here and you don’t look like them. They are questions that I think the Aka Ikenga should address”.

Stressing the commitment of his administration to making life better for residents, Governor Fashola said if other state governments and their indigenes should commit to developing their state and making life better for the rural communities, the issue of people being compelled to migrate from their homes to other states, without any concrete plans, would be greatly curtailed wondering how a state that produced so many great Nigerians could lag behind in development.

Boy Arrested for 'Sextortion' Involving Miss Teen USA...

A19-year-old boy accused of hacking into online accounts of women including Miss Teen USA and threatening to publish nude photos of them has been arrested.

Accoding to Yahoo news, Jared James Abrahams surrendered to FBI agents probing so-called "sextortion" cases, in which he made demands in return for agreeing not to publish the pictures.

The investigation involved multiple victims in California as well as Canada, Moldova and Russia. The most high profile was Cassidy Wolf, who won the Miss Teen USA pageant in August.

Wolf, 18, called in investigators in March after receiving threatening emails containing nude photos of her.
The sender said he would distribute the pictures "all over the Internet" unless she either sent him a personal video of herself, joined him on Skype for a video chat for five minutes and do whatever he told her to, or sent him "good quality pics" of herself.
"Either you do one of the things listed or I upload these pics ... on all your accounts for everybody to see, and your dream of being a model will be transformed into a pornstar," he wrote, according to an FBI arrest warrant affidavit.

Abrahams appeared in court Thursday and was released in lieu of $50,000 bail, and "will be subject to pretrial supervision and home detention with electronic monitoring," said Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

A judge also restricted his computer use to a desktop at his parents' home for school work, with monitoring software installed.

Most of the Senators spoke while contributing to a motion entitled: “Congratulations to Nigeria and Nigerians on her 53rd Independence Anniversary.”

Some blamed the nation’s lack of development on corruption. Others attributed the slow pace of development to sentimental and parochial inclination of the nation’s leaders both past and present.

The motion was sponsored by Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba and 10 others.

Police Arrests Chinese Man for 'Stealing' N105Million...

A Chinese man has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly defrauding a bank in the Peoples Republic of China and relocating to Nigeria.
The police said they recovered N105 million from the suspect and handed over the money to the anti-fraud detectives from China Police Department.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the unit, Mr Tunde Ogunsakin, handed over the money, which was recovered in dollars, to the Chinese police team.

The suspect, Mr Fang Yang was arrested after the Chinese government wrote the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police for collaboration to arrest Fang, fugitive who ran away from China to Nigeria after defrauding a company in China  of over 8milllion yens.

The Chinese government complained through a letter that the suspect, Fang Yang, and Leng Jiqing, a former Legal Representative of Qingdao Sifang Qiaolian Trade Company in Beijin, were wanted for eight million Yen loan syndicated through a fake bank deposit in 1996 to get a mortgage from the second sub-branch of China Agricultural Bank of Qingdao.

After the bill was discounted, the majority of the money was paid for the debts of their company and the balance spent on daily expenses of the company.

It was learnt that only 1.55 million RMB was paid back to the Licang second sub-branch of Qingdao branch of China Agricultural Bank. This led to a loss of 6.45 million RMB to the bank.

Ogunsakin said: “Jiqing was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in China but Fang Yang ran to Nigeria. Detectives from the unit swung into action. Yang, who resides in Nigeria, was apprehended at Golden Silk Ovic, Ogun State, after three weeks of chase.

The suspect, a 50-year-old Chinese businessman who came to Nigeria in 2001, admitted in his statement the allegation levelled against him.

Boko Haram Leader, Shekau Appears in a New Video, Says He's Alive...

The leader of the outlawed Boko Haram sect, Abubakur Shekau, whom the Joint Task Force (JTF) had claimed was mortally injured in a shootout last month and had died somewhere in Cameroun,  Wednesday resurfaced in a recorded video message, threatening to continue his killing spree until democracy is crushed in Nigeria.

Shekau even boasted that he remained invincible and mocked world leaders including President Goodluck Jonathan, President Barack Obama of the United States, President Francois Hollande of France and Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

Reacting to the news of his appearance on a video, the Nigerian Army yesterday refused to confirm or dismiss the recording, saying they were yet to verify its authenticity.

The JTF, last month, had claimed that Shekau had been mortally wounded in a shootout with security forces and had died some days later in Cameroun, as a result of the injuries he sustained.

But JTF’s statement had caused consternation at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, with sources informing newsmen at the time that the JTF did not have their authorisation to make a statement on Shekau’s death.

Shekau, who was surrounded in the video mailed yesterday to some journalists by dozens of his lieutenants all dressed in military camouflage, spoke amidst laughter and sarcasm as he accepted responsibility for recent attacks in Borno State.

Shekau, who until he was declared dead was the most wanted Nigerian in history, with a ransom of N50 million from the Nigerian government and $7 million from the American government, seemed to have recorded the video in a bush as birds were heard chirping in the background.

He declared that his ultimate aim was to ensure democracy ceased to exist in Nigeria. He also mocked the Nigerian army, whom he claimed his group had succeeded in taking three of their armoured tanks, a large cache of arms and fleets of the military vehicles and troops.
Shekau, who spoke in Hausa, said: 

The world should know that I cannot die except by the will of Allah. I have told you that all that I do is prescribed by the Quran. The essence of it is to carry out the injunctions.

The world should know that I am alive and will only die at the appointed time. Everybody should be judged according to the dictates of his conscience.

What I am doing is written in the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith and I will not stop. I challenge all the clerics of the world to question my deeds. Those underrating my capacity should have a re-think. I will never allow democracy to thrive.

Don’t bother yourselves stopping me because I cannot be stopped. The war is more grievous than you think, and it will consume you.

I swear by Allah that there will be no democracy in Nigeria. We are going to rise against it and we shall soon defeat it. The concept of government of the people by the people, for the people cannot continue to exist. It shall soon, very soon, be replaced by Government of Allah, by Allah for Allah,”

He added: “It was said that I was killed, but here I am. I deliberately refused to respond on time, but here I am talking and laughing at the Nigerian authority who misled the world that I am dead.

“I believe by now Lt Col. Sagir Musa, who issued the statement of my death should bury his head in shame; President Jonathan should bury his head in shame; President Barrack Obama should bury his head in shame, President François Hollande should bury his head in shame, Queen Elizabeth (of England) should bury her head in shame.”

He went on: “How shameful is it for the Nigerian military for a man they called inconsequential to defeat them and seize their tankers and arms. “We have celebrated our victory in Monguno, Benisheikh and surrounding villages, and we shall not relent until total victory comes our way, by Allah's will.”

He said the Nigerian military would never subdue his group. “Nigerian soldiers are late. After killing many of them in Monguno and Benisheik, we have snatched their armoured carriers and Hilux van and then hoisted Islamic flags on them. We now move freely with them,” he claimed.

However, the Nigerian Army declined to verify the authenticity of the video.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, said the military authorities were yet to verify the authenticity of the video showing Shekau.

Attahiru said the army could not make any statement either in support or debunk the claims until it concluded its investigation into the matter.

“For now, all we can say is that we cannot verify the authenticity of the story. We are still examining the veracity of the video,” he said.

“You know that the whole story about Shekau's death is very sensitive and controversial. The top military hierarchy are still bitter over the way the news was broken, and have been sceptical since then.

“What we want to avoid is this kind of situation where we will be forced to retract our statement.

“However, there is still a high possibility that Shekau is dead and the video is aimed at further creating confusion.

Boy Convicted for Rape and Robbery to Die by Hanging...

A 26-year-old furniture maker, Chijioke Ede, was sentenced to death by hanging yesterday by Delta High Court in Warri for robbing a couple at gunpoint and raping their teenage daughter.

He was arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and rape before the court presided over by Justice Marshall Mukoro.
He was found guilty on all the charges and sentenced to death on count one and two, while he got life imprisonment on the charge of rape.

Prosecution from Delta State Ministry of Justice had told the court that Chijioke, from Enugu State, with another person still at large, on or about October 12, 2009, at Okoro Street, Warri, off Marine Gate, within the Warri Judicial Division, robbed his victims of a DVD player, a laptop computer, cash, jewelries and other valuables at gunpoint and also raped their teenage daughter.

The convict was arrested by the vigilante group in the area as his gang made to escape with their loot.

 Twitter, is preparing to introduce an alert system that will help users receive special alerts from government agencies and aid agencies during emergencies.

Users who sign up will receive smartphone notifications via the Twitter app as well as SMS text messages - assuming they agree to handover their cell phone numbers - from any of several dozen agencies who have signed on to the program.

The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, Tokyo's Disaster Prevention service and the World Health Organization are among those participating.

The alerts program starts a year after Twitter showcased its potential as a lifeline during Hurricane Sandy, when stranded residents on the eastern U.S. seaboard reported the storm's progress and sought help on the mobile network.

A similar lifeline service played a part in the rescue efforts in Japan following the devastating 2011 tsunami, Twitter said. The program is initially available in the United States, Japan and Korea and will be expanded to other countries.

It seems like Khloe Kardashian hasn’t given up on Lamar Odom. Well, not just yet. Even after weathering weeks of reports of Odom’s cheating and alleged drug use, she’s still wearing her wedding ring. And now, rumour has it that she’s agreed to spend the couple’s wedding anniversary, September 27, with her estranged husband.

Olubunmi Adebayo the only son of Mrs Olayinka Adebayo, owners of Tastee Fried Chicken is dead. He passed on Tuesday, 24th September in the United States after a brief illness. (He was flown to the States for treatment.) Until his death, Bunmi was an Executive Director of Tastee.

He is survived by his parents, wife and two children.

Governor Donates Blood to Pregnant Woman...

These governors seems to be amazing us (or is it just me) these days. The other day it was Governor Suswam serving as a best man for a cook. Today it was Borno states Governor who is being 'a good servant leader'.

A pregnant woman in need of blood was saved by the governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima when he paid an unsheduled visit to General Muhammadu Shuwa Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The Commissioner of health, Dr. Salma Anas Kolo disclosed this on Wednesday while sharing experiences during the celebration of international day of peace organised by Youth Federation for World Peace at the North-East peace summit in Maiduguri.

Kolo said that the Governor was moved by the circumstances he met the woman during the visit.

He added that the Governor discovered through the medical attendant that his blood group matched that of the woman.

According to the Commissioner, “The Governor in his usual mannerism indicated interest to give his blood to save the woman. This is what is expected of a leader, and Governor Kashim Shettima has been teaching the people of Borno State what it means to be a true servant leader”, she said.

How kind of him! Good one Mr Governor!!! Wait a second! Someone just whispered that they want to score political point now that 2015 is around the corner. Hmmmm.... whatever intention, I think it is a good gesture!

PHOTO: Bankers, Driver Killed and Buried with Their Car by Ombatse Cult...

The pictured car above was discovered with three bodies of two bankers and their driver in Nasarawa State yesterday.

They were allegedly ambushed by suspected Ombatse cult boys, who took them to the bush, killed them, set them ablaze with their car and buried them with the car by the riverside.

The incident happened at Tudun Adabu in Obi Local Government.
The deceased bankers are Alhaji Hassan Gidado, who was the managing director of the Police Microfinance Bank, and Mr. Tunde Banwo.

The police, at a news conference said after the the bodies were exhumed, they were deposited at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia.
It was gathered that the two top bankers, who lived in Abuja, were in Lafia for the wedding of a child of the police commissioner-in-charge of Cooperative.

The Police Command has arrested 14 suspects in connection with the murder.

Late MC Loph's Mother Passes on...

Mother of late MC Loph, who died two years ago in a road accident, has also gone to join her son in the great beyond.

According to reports, she passed away few days ago at a private hospital in Enugu after a brief illness.

Mrs Obiajulu lost her two children, MC Loph and his sister on the 14th of September 2011 in a ghastly motor accident on the Benin Ore Expressway on their way to MC Loph's traditional wedding. The car they drove in somersaulted many time before plunging into a ditch. The pregnant fiancee survived the accident and has since given birth to a son.

May her soul rest in peace.

The Bureau of Public Enterprises says it plans to roll out policies and the legal framework for the regulation of the social media in Nigeria.
Director General of the privatisation agency, Mr. Benjamin Dikki, said this at a retreat for non-management staff of the organisation, according to a statement made available to correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday by BPE spokesman, Mr. Chigbo Anichebe.
At the retreat, held at Kuchikau, Nasarawa State, Dikki frowned on the unregulated posting of what he called offensive materials on the various social networking sites.
Dikki said this plan was in line with BPE’s reform mandate to initiate necessary policies and the legal framework for the regulation of the social media in the country.
He said, “As it now obtains, all manner of things are uploaded on the various platforms of the social media without recourse to age and sensibilities of the users. This is not good enough.”
