Awwwww how nice and humbling! The Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam served as a best man to a cook serving Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Michael Tumba of Our Lady Perpetual Help Cathedral, Makurdi, Benue State. The wedding was held last Saturday in Makurdi.
The governor actually took his time to perform his duties, adjusting the groom’s tie , wiping sweat from his face to the admiration of the guests who attended the ceremony.
Suswam told the guests at the wedding reception that the groom who had served Tumba in Abuja for 18 years had demonstrated commitment to his job and deserved to be honoured. He advised people to take their jobs seriously.
The groom said he considered himself lucky to have the governor serve as his best man and could not have wished for a better wedding gift.
